These are actually going to be the weirdest question anyone has ever asked on Tumblr, but I have this English assignment and I am slowly going insane.

Firstly, does anyone know the ‘form’ of Christina Rossetti’s ‘When I Am Dead, My Dearest’. The rhyme scheme is ABCBDEFE, the meter is iambic tetrameter and it’s from the Romantic era. 

Secondly, are there any other examples of Romantic era poems that use the sybmols of the cypress tree for mourning and/or the rose for love? Particularly if the subject matter is death?

I’m probably going to take these questions down soon because that’s a really weird thing to ask. Let me know if this is, like, your speciality and you have answers and I love you and okay I’m just going to hit ‘Create post’ and go back to trying to write this thing.
